88. This Contract is in substitution for all other Agreements or arrangements (if any) heretofore subsisting between the Government and /or the Crown Agents and the Contractors with regard to the Works and every such Agreement or arrangement is hereby absolutely determined and made void.
89. This Contract shall be deemed an English Contract, and governed by and construed according to English law.
90. No member of the House of Commons shall be admitted to any share or part of this Contract or to any benefit to arise therefrom (see House of Commons (Disqualifications) Acts 1782 and 1801).
91. The marginal notes hereto are for the purpose of convenience only and shall not affect the construction or interpretation of this Contract.
IN WITNESS whereof
one of the Crown Agents for the Colonies has hereunto set his hand and seal and the Contractors have hereunto caused their Common Seal to be affixed the day and year first above written.
